CEO | International & Domestic Road Freight | Poland–Western Europe | FTL / LTL | Freight Forwarding for Manufacturers, Trading Companies, Distributors, Importers & Exporters

I commented on a post by Vincent Clerc, CEO of A.P. Moller – Maersk, with the words: “I envy this moment. You too?” I was told that it was too casual, that it could look like overfamiliarity, and that this was not my level. It is hard to argue with the last point. But this is exactly where an interesting topic begins: culture in business. In business, “distance” does not mean the same thing in every country and every company. Maersk is a Danish company. Vincent Clerc is Swiss, but he has worked within Maersk’s culture for many years. In the Northern European, especially Scandinavian, management code, a CEO is not a monument. He is a person a few levels above a driver or a seafarer. Maybe this is why, in logistics, those who win are the ones whose management is not cut off from reality. Does Vincent Clerc have a door to his office? And in your company — is the door open, or still closed? #businessculture #logistics #maersk #leadership #supplychain #europe #B2B
