🚂 From Grantham to Africa: Keeping the rail sector moving with bespoke paint solutions. 🌍 Based in Lincolnshire, JAYLEW (ENGINEERING) LIMITED is a staple of the subcontract precision machining sector, manufacturing critical infrastructure like large-scale train brake discs for clients across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. When shipping heavy-duty cast iron components globally, protection against rust and oxidation is everything. But for Jaylew, the traditional solvent-based primer they used created a tough working environment with harsh fumes on the factory floor. Managing Director Andrew Fletcher wanted a safer, water-based alternative for his team, but standard water-based paints kept reacting with the coolant residues left on the precision-machined metal, causing poor adhesion. The Witham Solution? A custom formula. 🎨🔬 Rather than offering a "one-size-fits-all" product, our technical paint expert, Dave Lagden, worked closely with the Jaylew team to develop a bespoke water-based primer.
