The Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association applauds the actions and orders issued by US DOT Secretary Sean Duffy today, as the agency launches its 'Pro-Trucker' initiative. Nationwide audit of non‑domiciled CDLs – a sweeping audit aimed at commercial driver’s licenses issued to drivers who are not domiciled in their licensing states, aiming to enhance oversight and curb potential misuse. ELP enforcement ramp-up – Stronger enforcement of “English Language Proficiency” requirements for drivers, reinforcing that CDL holders must meet the minimum language standards to operate. Expanded “pro‑trucker” package – Includes initiatives on truck parking infrastructure, cracking down on bad brokers, and removal of mandatory speed limiter rules—all geared toward improving driver quality of life. These moves “Make Trucking Great Again” by emphasizing prioritizing driver concerns and industry well-being. Thank you Secretary Sean Duffy!
