WIPO Director General Daren Tang visited Brussels, where he met with European Commission executives to discuss the role of intellectual property (IP) in strengthening competitiveness, trade, innovation, and the digital economy. Discussions highlighted how IP is increasingly central to economic growth, trade resilience and Europe’s digital transition. The Director General’s engagements included meetings with Maroš Šefčovič, European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security; Interinstitutional Relations and Transparency; Christophe Hansen, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food; and Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport.
