🎉 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬. The Wine Travel Awards, much like the wine world itself, continue their course through a period of turbulence. This year’s schedule has shifted, and the Awards Ceremony is still shaping its final stage. Yet some things remain untouched by calendars: trophies have a way of reaching those who genuinely merit them. On 1 July, at the Vinexposium office in Paris, a discreet yet meaningful presentation of one of the key WTA trophies took place. Wine Travel Awards Ambassador Aleksandra Decamps (Minenko) handed over the Trophy and Winner’s Diploma in the 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 category to Nicolas Cuissard, Director of 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬. The moment was more than a formal gesture. It was an acknowledgment of the strategy that has rapidly transformed Wine Paris into a global hub of wine dialogue – a place where new ideas surface and emerging trends take shape. Alongside the trophy, the winner received a bottle of Ukrainian wine made from the indigenous variety Telti Kuruk, crafted by the young producer 𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒. A wine that, quite literally, stepped off the cover: the Big Wines collection graces the front of the latest printed edition of the Wine Travel Awards Guide 2024–2025, also presented during the meeting. If the fashion world has its “cover girl”, then Telti Kuruk has become our cover wine – a symbol of the new energy driving Ukrainian winemaking. 👋 This gesture created a thoughtful bridge between nominees, winners, and the global wine community – a community that today watches closely the shifts in climate, the emergence of new regions, and the rise of new protagonists in the wine world. These very themes will shape the conversations from 𝟏𝟓 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟕 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 – the gathering point for WTA nominees, wine travellers, producers, journalists, and all those who contribute to contemporary wine culture.
