Creating safe spaces to enable individuals and teams to learn, grow and develop. When not doing that cycling, reading and drinking wine...

The theme of today's The Big Live Breakfast Burrito..! was TV and for some reason I felt inspired to write my own poem for the occasion. 🤔 It's amazing how creativity works for me, some moments it's there and other's it's not. 🏃‍♂️I'm a firm believer of what is know of flow or as sports people refer to being in the zone. 📺Here's the poem 'Ode to Television' From cathode ray tube encased in bakerite capturing flickering images in black and white, of stately coronations, and astronauts in space, and men winning under four-minute mile race   As the colour era did boon, You brought us pictures of men on the moon, turned operas into soap, providing mechanisms for us to cope   You crowned Queens, both royal and in drag a-plenty, Swore in Presidents ten a penny, Made saints of sinners, Transformed celebrity from non-entity.   And as technology moved apace Aerials, masts, and dishes beamed from space Live pictures from foreign lands To tiny screens nestled in our hands   At your best you enable us to feel as one, To celebrate great feats which are done, Meeting the motto which must pertain, educate, inform, and entertain! My thanks to Clare Wilkins and Richard Uridge for setting the standard, for their support and encouragement (and of course Eric Doyle for giving me the opportunity in the first place). As I said on the show today it won't happen every time, I'll have to see when the Muse takes me, and when I find myself in that flow state. #creativity #poetry #personaldevelopment #learning
