"This incredible Pontiac Firebird was one of the wildest restomod projects ever created, blending classic American muscle with legendary Japanese performance. The mastermind behind the build was Gregg Hamilton, Ken Block's longtime lead mechanic, who set out to create what many enthusiasts called a ""budget Hoonicorn."" Rather than relying on traditional muscle car hardware, Hamilton transplanted the complete all-wheel-drive drivetrain and ATTESA AWD system from a Nissan R32 GT-R into the Firebird. The GT-R badge on the car wasn't just for looks. It represented the extensive use of genuine Nissan GT-R components that transformed the Firebird into something completely unique. Starting with a tired, weathered shell, the project received custom wide fender flares, modern wheels, and extensive fabrication to accommodate the advanced drivetrain. The result was a machine that combined old-school American styling with the traction and engineering that made the R32 GT-R one of the most respected performance cars ever built. Every detail reflected the creativity of mixing two completely different automotive worlds into one unforgettable build. It wasn't simply an engine swap. It was a complete reimagining of what a classic muscle car could become with modern technology underneath. Sadly, according to automotive photographer Larry Chen, the Firebird was later destroyed in a fire and declared a total loss. Its disappearance was heartbreaking for enthusiasts, as it represented countless hours of craftsmanship, innovation, and passion. Although the car is gone, it remains one of the most memorable cross-brand builds ever created and a lasting tribute to fearless automotive creativity. Follow Daily Crypto & Worldwide News
