Executive Director Steen & Strøm at Promenaden Management

.KLEINE SPEISE || NACHRICHT. London-Frankfurt-Oslo. The waterfront. Joining Zoom brothers on a fat WiFi signal. Steen & Strøm gaining momentum post lockdown in early morning sunshine. Norway and “renewed” opening hours. Cell to cell with a star safe harboured in Turin; shrouded by books & polished concrete helping a community rebuild regroup, re-imagine. Joris Voorn the album ‘Four’ a gem from the Netherlands. Track 10 ‘Too Little, Too Late’ ( feat Underworld ) cuts through masked concourse drifters. Four words in the 5th verse : “But I want nothing”. In creating the future opening for the Karl Johan’s Gate entrance to Steen & Strøm we connect the city with the flagship : an Atrium to “reveal” beyond this catwalk. There are an estimated 14.5m pedestrian journeys through the KJG highway. One dark Friday we played the Atrium in another great store; a cold Pietari: not for the faint hearted. The building vibrated, crowds gathered for contemporary Russian hospitality. A local statesman leaned forward smiled and it spoke volumes just like ‘Four’. #departmentstores #steenogstrom #oslo #norway #scandinavia #kleinespeisenachricht
