From blueprint to skyline: The Vöhringen recycling center is rising fast 🚧 Just over a year ago, we broke ground on one of our most ambitious projects in Germany. Today, we have made significant progress, marking another milestone in developing our Vöhringen site. Inside, there’s constant movement. At peak times, up to 14 scissor lifts are in operation simultaneously. Outside, one key element is already taking shape: a 30-meter chimney that will later filter and release exhaust from the recycling process in full compliance with modern emissions standards. 🌍 Why it matters: The new recycling center will significantly increase Wieland's capacity to process copper scrap using energy-efficient fire refining technology. With an investment of €80 million, we're strengthening our commitment to decarbonization and a circular economy, key pillars of our sustainability strategy. ♻️ The plant is expected to be operational by early 2026. It will produce copper billets from 100% recycled material and reduce the carbon footprint of our products across global supply chains. It is a bold step into our future - made in Vöhringen.
