The Brighton Refuge, a safe space, accommodation and crucial support for women and their children fleeing domestic abuse, has benefited from a significant transformation of its garden and family spaces following a community volunteering project supported by Wickes.   To make the transformation possible, Wickes collaborated with Rowlinson and Powersheds who generously donated products including a new Powershed summer house and timber decking, adding a Rowlinson sandpit and bench for the children.  Jo Tilley, Childcare worker at Brighton’s Women's Refuge said: "We are incredibly grateful for all the work that the volunteers from Wickes team have done today, as well as sourcing and donating all the materials and equipment needed to make today possible. It will make a massive difference for the way we use and enjoy the spaces. The children are already excited to use the new sandpit and mended playhouse and to start den building in the woodland area. The summer house looks great and will be a lovely space to be used for meetings and relaxing. The family lounge was in need of updating and now looks like new. Thank you to all of you for your time and hard work, especially persevering through the rain." A massive thank you to everyone who collaborated with us on this important project! #LifeAtWickes #Wickes #Community #Collaboration
