100 vans. Hundreds of communities. Thousands of Team Members who made it happen. π Today, we handed off our 100th Nourishing Our Neighborhoods refrigerated van to the San Antonio Food Bank. Since 2020, we have funded 100 refrigerated vans for food-recovery organizations across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. β addressing a critical infrastructure gap in the food rescue process. These vans make it possible for partners to transport fresh, high-quality food from where it's available to where it's needed most. Β The San Antonio Food Bank picks up food from our local stores weekly and serves 29 counties across southwest Texas, feeding 100,000 people each week. This van β all-electric, with a recharging station β deepens that partnership and our shared commitment to keeping food out of landfills and on tables. This milestone could not have happened without the support of every Team Member who packed a box, loaded a van or showed up for a neighbor. It's a reflection of what happens when daily store operations connect directly to community outcomes, and proof that sustained investment in food infrastructure delivers our Purpose to nourish people and the planet. And the celebration continues: On October 6, weβre hosting Nourishing Our Neighborhoods Day! Free Mobile Markets will take place in six metro areas and Stuff the Van events will be held for all 100+ van partners at local Whole Foods Market stores. Thank you for making 100 possible. π₯³ #NourishingOurNeighborhoods #100thVan #NourishGrowth #TeamWFM
