At the beginning of the semester, Wharton Women asked our members which industries they were most interested in exploring. Private Equity and Private Wealth emerged as the top two. This week, our Alumnae Relations Committee hosted its signature Industry Insiders Panel, where Wharton Women alumnae share their career experiences in a given field with current members. This semesterโ€™s theme, โ€œ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—˜๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† & ๐—ช๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ต ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฝ,โ€ shaped the design of the session. Moderated by our VP of Alumnae Relations, Himakshi Shastri, the panel was structured to guide attendees through different stages of the investing journey with: ย โ€ข Warm-Up: Introductions and early career insights ย โ€ข Training Session: A moderated discussion on navigating roles in private equity and private wealth ย โ€ข Cool-Down: An open audience Q&A Attendees also received a customized PE Training Guide, designed with space for note-taking and a selection of curated, exciting facts about the private equity and wealth landscape. We are incredibly thankful to our panelists Jaahnvi S. (Product Strategy in Private Wealth at Blackstone); Nithya Adusumilli (Strategy Team at American Securities) and Sonya Huang (MBA at Wharton, previously software PE team at TA associates) for sharing their insights with us! We also want to thank our Alumnae Relations Committee: Himakshi Shastri (VP); Braveena Maheswaran, Bridget Lu, Carys Martinez, Edonawit Zike, Eeman Syeda, Hannah Dastgheib, Ila Namburi, Keyla Zhao, Nichole Pei, Sara Memon, Sara Pearl Adler, Sophie Glass and Zara Jain for putting this event together!
