Regional Director West UKI, Benelux, Nordics, Baltics EIT. Urban Mobility committed to decarbonising the mobility sector and accelerating sustainable urban mobility transition. We connect markets, capital, talent.
At Mobility Nexus 2026, EIT Urban Mobility joined forces with TomorrowLab and Living Tomorrow , Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken - Vlaamse overheid, Superellipse , Stad Hasselt and regional partners to bring together key stakeholders committed to accelerating the mobility transition across Europe. EIT Urban Mobility supports Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken - Vlaamse overheid on the Mobiliteitvisie 2040 https://lnkd.in/ebtwgBAc and will actively contribute at the national-, regional-, and local levels over the next three years to make these ambitions a reality; moving from ‘smart cities to WISE Cities’. TomorrowLab and Living Tomorrow, Superellipse are permanent partners in this. EIT Urban Mobility supports projects in the Brussels Region – the City of Brussels, the City of Antwerp, the City of Ghent, and the City of Leuven. We work closely with De Lijn, We collaborate with the City of Hasselt and the Municipality of Heusden-Zolder, develops initiatives with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and supports OTIV in its global expansion. We also work closely with Ghent University. Demonstrating that we are an active part of Belgian society while strengthening our pan-European network across 33 countries. Together with imec , we explored the CCAM Proving Region initiative a cross-border collaboration moving from “smart” to “wise” cities through regional testing of Automated Shared Vehicles to strengthen public transport and shared mobility. The CCAM Proving Region embeds cross-border collaboration (SmartwayZ.nl, gemeente Helmond, Eindhoven, TNO, Ministerie I&W) into every layer of testing enabling local testing with regional impact, structural ecosystem cooperation and a harmonised framework. As Europe’s leading network for urban mobility innovation, EIT Urban Mobility continues to support solutions that help cities move toward climate neutrality. One example of our recent work is the EU wide ‘Stadium Cities’ Initiative. Together with Gemeente Amsterdam and Johan Cruijff ArenA , we are launching three Cleantech Venture Days (Amsterdam–London–Paris), together with Cambridge Cleantech; connecting investors, innovators and cities across Europe’s most dynamic urban corridor — and supporting scale-ups such as OTIV to deliver real impact.
