A defining moment for WeWALK: We've been named a finalist for the 2026 MacRobert Award, recognising the engineering and innovation behind the WeWALK Smart Cane!   As the UK’s longest running and most prestigious prize for engineering innovation, this recognition is a huge honour for our team. It reflects not only the strength of our innovation, but also the passion and collaboration that has driven our work forward from idea to impact.   This achievement is the result of an incredible collaboration across WeWALK and our partners; the Royal National Institute for Blind People and Imperial College London, and we’re proud to see that collective effort recognised at a national level by The Royal Academy of Engineering. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the impact behind our innovation. Every day, WeWALK users around the world are navigating with greater confidence and independence, and we're proud to be building technology that makes it possible.   Congratulations to the other finalists Oxford Nanopore and Transmission Dynamics.
