We're pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Timothy Finnigan as our new Dean of the School of Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science 📐 Professor Finnigan joins us with extensive experience across higher education, research, technology commercialisation, and engineering consulting, and research interests in energy transition and sustainable development. Distinguished Professor Brian Falzon, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science, welcomed the appointment. “Tim’s extensive experience across research, education and commercialisation, together with his research focus in energy transition and sustainable development, will strengthen the School’s impact and industry engagement.” Professor Finnigan said he looked forward to working with colleagues in the School to nurture and foster the next generation of engineers. “It’s an exciting time to join the School, with significant opportunities for engineering at Western Sydney University, particularly in relation to Bradfield City, the Western Sydney International Airport, the Aerotropolis, and related emerging digital sector and advanced manufacturing that go with these once–in–a–generation developments.” Read more 🔗 https://bit.ly/4eXRPkn
