Two Wisconsin infrastructure projects are earning statewide recognition for improving safety, resilience, and connectivity. The APWA Wisconsin Chapter recently named the Potter Road and 109th Street project in Wauwatosa and the East Wells Street project in Milwaukee as its 2026 Projects of the Year. 🏆 Highlights: ‣ The Potter Road and 109th Street project, designed by raSmith and the City of Wauwatosa, transformed a flood-prone corridor with roadway reconstruction, water main upgrades, nearly a mile of storm sewer improvements, and enhanced pedestrian connections ‣ Milwaukee's East Wells Street project, with raSmith serving as lead design consultant, introduced raised separated bike lanes, upgraded pedestrian infrastructure, and streetscape improvements while maintaining access for businesses, festivals, and The Hop streetcar ‣ Both award-winning projects demonstrate how thoughtful infrastructure investments can improve public safety, mobility, and long-term community resilience 🔗 Read more here: [https://lnkd.in/e36bdzuc] #Infrastructure #PublicWorks #Transportation #Engineering #raSmith #APWA #CompleteStreets #WisconsinInfrastructure
