Reading a career summarized in a single bio is a humbling thing — because I know none of it was done alone. The recognitions are meaningful: Marquis Who's Who, Canada's top consulting award, Constantinus honours, Firm of the Year, the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal. So is the work behind them — cleantech, advanced manufacturing, energy transition, and initiatives like converting abandoned oil and gas sites into micro solar. But titles and awards are the visible strands. The real story is the rope: the clients, colleagues, boards, associations, and teams who made every one of those results possible. That's precisely why I wrote The Hero's Rope. For too long we've celebrated the lone expert, the hero at the top. But durable impact — across an entire career, a company, or a country's industries — is always woven, never solo. My name may sit on the bio; the strength belongs to everyone braided into the work. So if there's a through-line to all of it, it's this: build capability in others, weave strong relationships, and leave organizations stronger than you found them. Grateful for the journey — and the people in it.
