A major milestone for sustainable industry and innovation 🚀 Together with Epyr, we inaugurated France’s first industrial-scale thermal energy storage unit combining power-to-heat technology and thermal energy storage at our WEPA site in Troyes. The unit converts low-carbon electricity into heat, stores it, and releases it as steam when needed. In doing so, it helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels and supports the decarbonisation of our production processes. 🌍 What makes this project especially remarkable is the speed of implementation: the plant was designed, built and commissioned in less than six months, without disrupting ongoing operations at the site. Today, it already covers around 25% of the steam demand in Troyes. This project demonstrates how innovative technologies can help make industry more competitive, sustainable, resilient and future-ready.
