Two recent sessions, two different angles — but a common thread. At the Deloitte Asia Pacific Financial Services conference, I joined a panel with Melvin Yong and Serena Yong where we spoke about the future of the tax profession — where topics like AI, evolving skillsets and work-life balance came up, all topics close to my heart. At the Deloitte Asia Pacific M&A Tax Summit, Anthony Stobart, David Schultz and I did a sharing on Pillar Two in M&A, how it’s already influencing diligence, deal structuring and execution. Seemingly different settings, but interesting how they connect - from talking about the future of the profession to seeing the kind of challenges (like Pillar Two) that will shape the skills we actually need. PS: bonus photo with all my lovely interns who were helping out during the session! jianpeng Shao, Hong Si En, Edward Tan, Nadia Nur Fatin and Rachel Sim
