Recently, Academician Zhang Tongyi of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visited Zhongding Hengsheng Gas Equipment (Wuhu) Co., Ltd.(#ZDHS) for in-depth discussions on the R&D and application of metallic materials, providing intellectual support for the company to overcome bottlenecks in core components of diaphragm compressors. ZDHS is a national-level key "Little Giant" company specializing in specialized and sophisticated technologies. It focuses on the development, production, and sales of diaphragm compressors and their core components, which are widely used in strategic industries such as hydrogen energy, chip manufacturing, nuclear power, and aerospace. To address the "bottleneck" issue where material properties of components such as metal diaphragms and cylinder heads constrain equipment reliability, service life, and pressure-bearing capacity, the company established a New Materials Research Institute in November 2025, aiming to break foreign technological monopolies. Academician Zhang, a renowned expert in materials science, solid mechanics, and AI + materials, brings cutting-edge concepts that are now being precisely aligned with the company's practical needs through this exchange, which is expected to accelerate the development of new materials. Currently, the company's independently developed metal diaphragm has extended the average service life from 2,000 hours to 8,000 hours, and the "Luo's Cavity Curve Technology" has increased compression efficiency by 15% to 20%. The support of Academician Zhang's team is set to help Zhongding Hengsheng advance the domestic replacement of high-end equipment and accelerate the realization of full self-sufficiency. #ZDHSCompressor #Hydrogen #FuelCell #CleanEnergy #HydrogenRefueling #DiaphragmCompressor #EnergyTransition #screwcompressor #pistoncompressor #gascompressor #GasCompression #HighPressureCompression #OilFreeCompression #ProcessGas #HydrogenCompression #ReciprocatingCompressor #IndustrialEquipment #GasTechnology #PressureSystem #greenhydrogen
