Traveling for work is part of the job. But this month hit harder. At the start of June, I was gone for 10 straight days—first for a Partner event at Pinehurst, then on to Phoenix for PTO. Being away from my 6 month old daughter for that long was tough, however, I got to spend some meaningful time with friends, while also meeting with existing and new partners, Steve Furst, Keith Holben, Ciera Houtz (Moraga), & Thomas Hoye, CPA. Those couple of hours mean a lot. Relationships aren’t built through email. They’re built by showing up, even when you don’t have to. Success doesn’t just come from what you do on paper—it comes from being willing to do what others aren’t.
