Today, the Wellness Tourism Association is proud to introduce the Six Principles for Responsible Retreats™, a new framework designed to support ethical leadership, participant wellbeing, transparency, professional standards, and long-term trust across the global retreat ecosystem. As retreat travel continues to grow, the industry has an opportunity to create clearer shared language around what responsible retreat practices should look like for retreat leaders, travel advisors, venues, destinations, educators, booking platforms, and the many partners who help bring retreat experiences to life.
