As part of our annual Mentoring Week, Weil hosted a global keynote event featuring remarks from Executive Partner Barry Wolf, who announced this year’s winners of the Jonathan Weiss and László Nagy Mentoring Awards – a prestigious honor awarded by our Firm’s associates in recognition of their outstanding commitment to mentoring our lawyers. In her keynote presentation, Michelle Silverthorn – workplace culture strategist who works with leading organizations to strengthen engagement, belonging and long-term growth – explored how effective mentoring goes beyond advice to create access for everyone. She explained how mentors go from good to great, by helping individuals navigate unspoken norms and practically demonstrating how to move forward within the firm. Participants gained a clearer understanding of how to build trust, give and receive effective feedback, and support growth in ways that are consistent and fair for all. Congratulations again to this year’s winners of our Jonathan Weiss and László Nagy Mentoring Awards – Jenna Harris, Bambo Obaro, Jacquelyn Volpe and Emily Willey.
