I had the incredible opportunity to take part in Yale School of Management’s EMBA Global Network Week, a one-week exchange that created memories and friendships to last a lifetime! We were 77 Executive MBA students from 22 schools across the globe, diving into Behavioral Science of Management with some of Yale’s finest professors, thought leaders who challenged and inspired us with every session. What I learned: *How our fast (System 1) and slow (System 2) thinking systems influence decision-making, and how small changes in choice architecture can nudge better outcomes. *Why we must pay attention to framing, because the first frame we see often becomes the only one we use. *The surprising power of independent opinions before group discussions, aggregation can be wiser than debate. *How doing good isn’t enough for brands, they must also be seen as credible and aligned with their causes to avoid the “tainted altruism” effect. *And in negotiations, it’s all about “finding the tree”, uncovering the underlying values that drive each side. We had a great time with negotiation roleplays, escape rooms, and getting to know each other over small group dinners. Outside the classroom, I took the opportunity to explore Yale’s cultural gems, from the iconic dinosaur fossils at the Peabody Museum, to incredible works by Picasso, Monet, Renoir, and Warhol at the University Art Gallery, and Turner’s dramatic seascapes at the Center for British Art. Another special highlight was catching the Summer Carillon Concert at Harkness Tower, a magical moment hearing the bells echo across campus. Most of all, I’m thankful for the camaraderie of my amazing groupmates Sumit Kumar Agarwala, Aileen Christensen, Mihai Mincu, Imran Khan, Elaine Donohue, Yasmine El Rafie, Megha Mistry who made light work of our assignments and discussions. Super grateful to Yale SOM and the GNW community for this unforgettable week in New Haven! Special thanks too to Evelyn Wilson, Stacy Awe, Camino de Paz Espiago for making this experience possible! #GNW2025 #NUSEMBA #YaleSOM #NUSBusinessSchool
