The EU has reached a major turning point for cross-border ecommerce at the beginning of July, as the bloc has officially ended its long-standing customs duty exemption for packages valued up to 150 euros. The repeal of the traditional "de minimis" model means that international sellers on eBay and other online marketplaces will have to cover a temporary, uniform €3 flat customs duty applied per declaration line item. At the same time, the EU is preparing a secondary €2 handling fee slated for autumn. Hence, to remain competitive in European online marketplaces going forward, sellers must adapt to how product categories are aggregated at the border. Swipe through the carousel below for a quick breakdown of the new €3 flat fee, how to compute your new landed costs, and the data requirements coming to your marketplace dashboard this quarter. How are you adjusting your cross-border pricing strategies for the EU market? Let’s discuss below 👇 #CrossBorderTrade #EcommerceInTheEU #DeMinimis #LowValueParcels #CustomsDuty
