One Helix defines the lab of the future. Delivered at Amsterdam UMC with Breakthrough Properties for AstraZeneca, One Helix is now a built example of what can be achieved when ambitious sustainability targets are carried through one of the most complex project types in the market. The completed 6,515 m² life science building has achieved BREEAM Outstanding with a score of 92.49%, a net energy positive performance of -15.29 kWh/m²/year, and an MPG score of 0.60, less than half the Dutch benchmark for this building type. It is also the first fully fitted-out commercial laboratory in Europe to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification. One Helix is a clear demonstration of delivery in a highly complex sector, and a strong reference point for the future of laboratory design.
