Today's LGBTQ+ Hero is Karl Heinrich Ulrichs. In 1867, Karl spoke out against anti-homosexual laws in Germany. In doing so, he became the first homosexual to publicly defend homosexuality. As one of the first advocates for LGBTQ+ rights, he dedicated most of his life to the advancement of sexual equality. Throughout #pridemonth we are celebrating the contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals worldwide and remembering the sacrifices made by those who fought for equal rights and acceptance.
