What would happen if companies had to manage with 1/3 or 1/2 less water than they do now? More importantly how would companies be viewed if they had the water they need but the communities in which they operate didn’t? These are some of the challenging questions that our Chief Sustainability Officer, Alan Knight posed for businesses at the Sustainability LIVE Leadership Summit during London Climate Action Week.    Alan spoke on a panel looking at Water Positivity with Darsh Myronidis, Isabelle Spiegel from Vinci Group, Mai-Lan Ha from Wateraid, Erin Augustine from Oatly and David Moore PISEP from The Compleat Food Group.   He shared more information about WE Soda’s journey to water positivity including a recent project which has enabled us to switch to using grey water from the local municipality at our Kazan production plant in Türkiye.   The panel agreed that carbon is a global challenge but water is a local challenge that is critical to supply chains. It involves businesses working with their local communities to manage a shared resource.    Water is a finite resource with competing demands in set catchment areas. Collaboration between all stakeholders who rely on the basin is essential to water positivity, and WE Soda is committed to contributing to this meaningfully as set out in our Sustainability Plan. #sustainability #wesoda #sodaash #waterpositivity #londonclimateactionweek #SUSLIVE
