Some conversations stay with you because they feel honest. That is how our evening at Politehnica University of Bucharest felt. We met with students, alumni and experienced tech leaders for a discussion about career beginnings, leadership, growth and the many questions that come with finding your path in technology. We talked about the transition from student life to the first job. About why real projects matter more than perfect CVs. About networking, soft skills and the courage to ask questions. About AI, the changing job market and the need to stay curious. And maybe most importantly, about the fact that one failed interview, one difficult moment or one unclear period does not define your future. Thank you to University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest for hosting us, to R Systems for partnering with us, to our moderator (Florian Usurelu) and speakers (Veronica Ruxanda, Radu Apostoae, Florin Jugastreanu, Bogdan Popescu) for sharing openly and to all the students who joined, asked questions and stayed for the conversations after the panel. One thing we also decided during the evening is that, from now on, we will reserve 5 seats for students at future Leaders in Tech events.
