With the Final Four having just wrapped up, mental health was on full display in women’s basketball this March Madness. Win or lose, these champions showed up for each other in the most powerful ways. From Rori Harmon from Texas stepping up in the press conference to defend and support her teammate who had a tough game, to South Caroline Head Coach, Dawn Staley genuinely celebrating Cori Close and the UCLA Bruins, these moments went beyond the scoreboard. Cori shared heartfelt lessons learned along the journey, reminding everyone that this is so much bigger than basketball. And Lauren Betts beautifully opened up about how her UCLA teammates were open, accepting, and loving as she’s gone through her mental health struggles — making the entire ride that much more special. This is what it looks like when the game finally gets it and starts shining a bright light on mental health, sportsmanship, and real human connection. True champions lifting each other up on and off the court Wondering how these soundbite mate you feel. Having worked in the WNBA for a few years, this tugged on my heart strings to see the women share this way. How does it impact you? #SameHere #5in5 #WomensBasketball #NCAAW #WBB #MarchMadness #Sportsmanship Carolanne Amy
