What does "customer acquisition" look like when you're pouring your heart into building the future of cultural route travel? For us, it starts on the Camino. This week in Sarria, Daniela and Ivan, two UX designers from Colombia and Peru who believe deeply in WAYS and its potential to strengthen local communities, have been helping us welcome pilgrims by gifting credential sleeves featuring our QR code and a simple message: 👣 ***** Every Step Counts***** 👣 It has become much more than a distribution activity. It's an opportunity to meet the people we're building WAYS for. Some pilgrims are beginning their journey in Sarria to complete the final 100 km needed to receive the Compostela. Others have been walking for months. We met one pilgrim who started in the Netherlands back in March and has crossed multiple countries on foot before arriving here. Soon, those long-distance pilgrims will be sharing the Camino with students, families, first-time walkers, and travelers from every corner of the world. Each person arrives with a different motivation. Each experiences a different Camino. That's exactly why we believe one-size-fits-all travel doesn't work. WAYS is designed to help every traveler create their own Camino to their own needs and wants, discovering the places, people, traditions, and experiences that matter most to them, while helping local communities participate more directly in the value these journeys create. As founders, we find that these conversations reinforce what the numbers are already telling us. Cultural routes are entering a period of accelerated growth, while cultural travelers seek more authentic and meaningful experiences. With the 2027 Holy Year approaching, millions of additional travelers are expected to experience the Camino, making this one of the most important moments to build the digital infrastructure that connects travelers, communities, and local economies. Technology matters. But only when it helps people connect more deeply—with places, with culture, and with one another. That's the future we're building at WAYS. Every Step Counts. #WAYS #CaminoDeSantiago #TravelTech #CulturalTourism #Startup #RegenerativeTourism #Community #Founders #EveryStepCounts Thanks to Irini Fournier Jesús Castaño María Parga @Daniela Gordillo @Ivan Rojo
