The Joburg Property Company (JPC) has been under the control of Ms Helen Botes for many years, during which it experienced gross wasteful expenditure and serious allegations of building neglect that caused the death of 76 people. Their board did nothing. The Mayor did nothing. The Premier of Gauteng did nothing. This Ms Botes appears to be untouchable. Well she isn’t. Which is why we’ve taken a civil action route to hold her accountable, by having her declared as a delinquent director. From our case, sufficient facts will be gleaned and extracted. When combining these facts with other criminal charges already laid against her, we hope to eventually see Ms Botes behind bars in orange overalls.
