Most UK technology functions already run AI. 70% haven't built the delivery models to scale it.   We surveyed 200 UK CIOs for our 2026 Technology Leader Survey, and that split runs through the results: The capability is there. Turning it into value at scale is where they stall.   Ask leaders what slows them down and the answers rarely point at the technology. Skills sit at the top. Data foundations trail behind. Governance strains to keep up with the pace of adoption. Each of these is a question of how a technology function is built and run, and together they decide whether AI ever reaches the P&L.   The organizations pulling ahead treat AI as a redesign of how work happens: the processes, the decisions, the teams behind them. The rest keep launching pilots that never compound.   For technology leaders, this reframes the job. The function is shifting from running systems to running the AI the whole enterprise now depends on. Scaling that well is an operating-model decision long before it is a tooling one.   Our survey maps where 200 CIOs stand today, what sets the leaders apart, and where the execution gaps still sit.   📊 Read the 2026 UK Technology Leader Survey: https://lnkd.in/euyVv_QP
