Waters accepted the 2026 SelectScience® Scientist's Choice Award for Analytical Science Editorial Article for the Year at ASMS. The winning article highlights how the CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow, India is using Waters technologies to to strengthen PFAS detection and support future policy development by monitoring PFAS in water, cosmetics, and food packaging. “Waters has been incredibly supportive, not just from a technology perspective, but in recognizing the social importance of this work,” said Dr. Bhaskar Narayan, Director of CSIR-IITR. “If history is to be recalled ten years from now, Waters would rightly be acknowledged as playing an equal part in developing the kinds of methods that made PFAS regulation possible in India.” The article was published in June 2025 and written by Cameron Smith-Craig, Pharma and Applied Sciences Editor at Select Science, and the photo features Dr. Ritesh Oza Ph.D and Rowan Moore from Waters Corporation, and Olivia Long from Select Science at ASMS 2026.
