In a state as vast as Western Australia, delivering reliable water services can be a challenge, especially in some of our most remote regions. Upgrades to the water treatment plant and network in Kiwirrkurra shows what’s possible, restoring reliable access to safe drinking water for the Gibson Desert community. Delivered through our Aboriginal Communities Water Services (ACWS) team, the Kiwirrkurra project is part of our long-term program to improve water services in Aboriginal communities across WA, which has so far delivered major upgrades in 17 communities.
