Pride Month at WashTec: respectful. open. together. 🌈 June is known worldwide as Pride Month. It has its roots in the efforts of the LGBTQ+ community, which has campaigned against discrimination and for equal rights, and today stands for visibility, respect and equality. LGBTQ+ is an umbrella term for people who identify as, for example, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer or non-binary. Because we recognise that a good working environment only works when everyone feels safe and accepted, we see diversity not as a campaign, but as an everyday attitude: ✔ treating one another with respect ✔ being open to different perspectives ✔ creating an environment where everyone can contribute.
