In close collaboration with Novatug, Wärtsilä has delivered an advanced simulation suite for Novatug’s new training centre in Terneuzen, the Netherlands, featuring high‑fidelity simulation technology and a digital Carrousel Rave Tug (CRT) model for safe, realistic tug master training. The CRT is designed to meet the growing demands of larger vessel calls by improving steering and braking in confined port spaces, while also reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
