A new consortium, MatH2, has been launched to tackle one of the key barriers to scaling the hydrogen economy: 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬. Hydrogen has the potential to decarbonise industry and transport, but its safe and reliable use requires materials that can withstand its unique properties. Through MatH2, Wärtsilä and its partners are working to: ✅ Validate hydrogen-compatible materials ✅ Develop components and technologies for real-world applications ✅ Enable safe, scalable hydrogen solutions This collaboration marks an important milestone in advancing material innovation for hydrogen and supporting the wider energy transition. 💚 MatH2 is part of the Wärtsilä-led WISE (Wide and Intelligent Sustainable Energy) programme.
