Readers may not notice good copyediting, but they almost always notice when it's missing. A character's name changes spelling. A timeline doesn't quite add up. A punctuation style shifts halfway through the book. Individually, these issues seem minor. Together, they can pull readers out of the experience and weaken trust in the writing. That's why copyediting matters. Its purpose isn't to change the story—it's to ensure the story is presented clearly, consistently, and professionally from beginning to end. The best copyediting is often invisible, but its impact is everywhere. https://lnkd.in/gKNwZpBY #Authors #BookEditing #Copyeditor #WritingTips #Publishing
