The World Is Burning, and We Are Holding the Matches Five wounds. Five mirrors. Let us have the courage to look. First, the wound of the demagogue. We have crowned leaders who do not build bridges they build walls between hearts. Trump, Modi, Netanyahu: architects of division who have discovered that fear is the most efficient campaign strategy. They whisper to our lowest instincts, and the " ignorant" masses, vote with our rage rather than our reason. We are not citizens anymore; we are ammunition in their arsenal of hatred. Second, the death of the sacred. We have evicted God from our public squares and wonder why our moral compass spins wildly. Without spiritual gravity, everything becomes permissible. We have transformed "my rights" into a tyrannical religion, sacrificing the communal good on the altar of individual desire. Selfishness wears the mask of freedom. Third, the severed root. We have divorced nature, trading the symphony of forests for the blue glow of screens. When we no longer kneel in grass, listen to rivers, or feel dwarfed by ancient trees, sand on the beach we forget our proportion. We lose reverence of nature the foundation of all true humanity. Fourth, the golden calf. We worship at the altar of consumption, confusing acquisition with achievement, wealth with worth. We have built cathedrals of shopping malls while our souls go bankrupt. Money promises happiness but delivers only a hunger that grows as it feeds. Fifth, the shattered hearth. Family the original sanctuary, the first school of love and sacrifice lies in ruins. Without this primal bond, we are isolated atoms, drifting in a cold universe of our own making. The world is not in trouble because of them. It is in trouble because of us because we chose comfort over conscience, noise over prayer, having over being. The question is not who broke the world.
