As we close out the financial year, many businesses are turning their focus to bottom lines, costs and profitability. Against that backdrop, the NAB Monthly Business Survey for April makes for interesting reading, with business confidence rising 5 points to -24 index points. With ongoing instability in the Middle East and the May Budget now behind us, it will be interesting to see how sentiment shifts in the May survey, due out next Tuesday.   Through our partnership with Gundabluey Research Pty in delivering these monthly NAB surveys, we help ensure Australian business experiences are accurately represented in the data. This research is an important input for policymakers and the Reserve Bank of Australia in assessing the national economic outlook.   If you have received an invitation to participate, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey. We are also seeking businesses with turnover greater than $2 million to join the panel. Participants receive results on release day, along with access to quarterly economic updates hosted by NAB Chief Economist Sally Auld GAICD.
