🌿 Take a look at the National Outdoor Learning Day at WUR! Recently, WUR hosted an Outdoor Education Marathon, bringing together teachers and students to learn outside in the fresh spring air. On this day, three outdoor classrooms were officially opened. With this step, outdoor education now has a permanent and visible place within WUR and on our beautiful campus. “Although the weather in the Netherlands can be unpredictable at times, outdoor education offers many benefits. Teaching outside can spark curiosity, reduce stress, and encourage more open and reflective conversations between students and lecturers,” says Louise van der Stok from Education and Learning Sciences (SSG), one of the initiators within WUR.
