In many production processes, this is precisely the challenge: reliably measuring speed without affecting the material and without the need for additional maintenance. The speedMATE® solves exactly these challenges: Instead of mechanical contact, it relies on optical speed measurement and works even where conventional solutions reach their limits. The speedMATE® optically scans the surface, at a variable distance of 15 to 60 mm, and calculates the speed with a measurement accuracy of ±0.3%.
