You have captured with great sensitivity what we often call “The Haut-Bailly Spirit”: restraint, harmony, continuity, respect for the terroir, the quiet confidence of a wine that does not seek to follow fashion, and authenticity - the art of remaining true to oneself. “Rien de trop” - nothing in excess - was one of my grandfather Jean Sanders’ favorite expressions, and it remains one of the most accurate definitions of Haut-Bailly. Vintage after vintage, the whole team works to ensure that each of our wines upholds this spirit and embodies the values that unite us.
