First-hand insights at Cemex Rüdersdorf 🏭 Following an invitation from Cemex, our colleagues had the opportunity to visit the Rüdersdorf site in person and gain a comprehensive look behind the scenes of cement production. From the very beginning, the Cemex team created a welcoming and open atmosphere, setting the stage for a constructive and insightful exchange. One of the most valuable parts of the visit was the site tour. The Cemex team offered a transparent and hands-on perspective on the entire cement production process — from raw material extraction to further processing. Experiencing the operations first-hand made the scale, complexity and precision of the site tangible, and showed how seamlessly the different process steps are connected. Beyond the technical and operational insights, the exchange also focused on key topics for the future of the cement industry. At the Cemex plant in Rüdersdorf — one of Germany’s largest cement production sites — our colleagues discussed the emerging CO₂ economy, potential value chains, and the requirements and perspectives around CO₂ transport. These topics will play a central role in the decarbonization of energy-intensive industries and in shaping the transformation of cement production. What will stay with us most is the openness, professionalism and deep technical expertise of the Cemex team.
