Our amazing students just launched a rocket! 🚀 The RISE team, a student team within the VU-UT Alliance (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) & University of Twente), is making space exploration cleaner and more sustainable. Here’s what you need to know: 🌱 Founded in 2020 by Mechanical Engineering students to tackle space debris. 👩‍🎓 Grew from a small team to around 40 students from VU Amsterdam, UT, and Saxion. 🔬 They now even offer minors and graduation projects. 🚀 Their latest launch, T.I.N.A, was a success! 🌍 The mission: develop reusable rockets powered by biofuel and, eventually, clean up the space debris orbiting Earth.
