Yesterday we celebrated planting 30 locally grown trees 🌳🌳🌳 at the Arnulfpark with Munich’s future 1st Mayor, Dominik Krause. Located across from our Google Munich office, these trees are our way of giving back to the neighborhood. They will provide shade during hot summers, improve the local climate, and help urban nature thrive for everyone who lives and works here.🫶 A project like this only works with great partners. It was an honor to have Dominik and his team, including Bernadette-Julia Felsch, join us for one of his first public events with Google since the election. This visit means a lot to us and demonstrates the strong, ongoing partnership we have with the Landeshauptstadt München. Thanks to Dr. Svenja Jarchow and Sigrid Eck (BA Maxvorstadt), Jeanne-Marie Ehbauer, and Philipp von Nathusius (Building Department) and my dear colleagues Wieland Holfelder, Erin Beller, Andreas Gyr, Jane Bitzer, Wolfgang Fasching-Kapfenberger and Saurabh Kulkarni for making this resident wish and yesterdays event a reality. I also want to thank Sabine Ullrich from Nachbarschaftstreff Arnulfpark for the cooperation and the Helmholtzstraße elementary school kids for helping us plant! These trees are a "green thread" connecting the Arnulfpark neighborhood with our Arnulfpost Campus and a step toward our goal of being Net Zero by 2030.
