𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸—𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲—𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀. On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned they were free. More than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, freedom finally reached them. Juneteenth marks that moment and honors the ongoing journey toward liberation and justice. 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀: True equity isn't a one-time initiative or awareness month. It's the intentional work of building organizational cultures where every person experiences belonging, opportunity, and voice—regardless of background, identity, or role. It's: ↪︎ Leaders who examine their own biases and create space for people different from themselves ↪︎ Organizations that listen to the lived experiences of their teams, not just their titles ↪︎ Cultures where psychological safety means people can bring their whole selves to work ↪︎ Accountability for decisions and systems that either advance or hinder equity 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗜𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
