Microcoil NMR probe upgraded to handle higher powers (100 W) Voxalytic upgraded a microcoil based NMR probe for electrochemistry applications and successfully installed and tested it at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB). The probe is capable to perform proton and lithium NMR spectroscopy of cell-bag batteries, where RF powers of 100 W can be applied on both RF channels. By this, the sensitivity could be significantly improved with broader excitation bandwidths (approx. 200 ppm for lithium). This is a major step forward for microcoil based NMR detectors.
