Consumers remain value-conscious, retailers operate in a competitive environment, and promotions continue to influence purchasing behaviour. Yet one finding from the ProWein Business Report 2025 stands out. Dutch trade professionals expect premium and super-premium wines to be among the segments gaining market share. This suggests a more nuanced market than producers sometimes assume. Price continues to matter. But so does distinction.
